concrete swimming pools – we do not build fiberglass pools. You may be looking

for a family style pool, lap pool, small plunge pool, free-form or a pool to

make a statement with a glass window and water feature to enhance and add value

to your property – whatever it is, we have got you covered! The length of time

to complete your swimming pool build will vary depending on factors such as

size, design complexity and site constraints. On average, the entire process

will take approximately 8 to 12 weeks from commencement to completion.

Our process

1. On-site consultation

We organize a free on-site

consultation to discuss your ideas and custom concrete swimming pool design, fencing, and

any hardships cape requirements as well as a budget for your project. We will

note the access and location of services (storm water/sewer pipes)

2. Contract and Paperwork

Once you are satisfied with the quote,

The details will be drawn up into a QBCC contract. This document indicates all

the aspects of the pool construction process and clearly outlines all the

financial aspects of the agreement. We then take care of the engineering and

council building approvals through our private certifier. This process normally

takes up to 4 weeks.

3. Mark out and Excavation

Once the approvals have been received,

We will start the construction of your swimming pool. We meet on site and mark

out your swimming pool ensuring you are happy with the positioning and

dimensions. Once signed off, the excavation begins! The pool is dug to your

chosen depth and size and gravel is laid at the bottom for drainage.

4. Steel Reinforcement, Internal Plumbing and

Electrical works

Our steel fixers will install a steel

frame as per the engineers’ design which ensures structural integrity of the

pool. The pipes are installed for water circulation (skimmer, return lines and

mains drain) and electrical conduits for pool lighting, pumps and other equipment.

5. Spraying Concrete Shell

The steel-reinforced cage is then

sprayed with 32MPA concrete to form the

shell. The application is expertly done to ensure proper thickness, strength

and finish. During this step, your chosen contours, benches and features are

shaped.

6. Coping and Tiling

Once your concrete shell has been

given time to cure, your chosen coping is installed around the pools’ edge. A

representative from our recommended supplier (The Pool Tile Company) will have

met with you for color selections. You may have also chosen a waterline tile

which is installed around the pool perimeter for aesthetics and ease of

maintenance.

7. Equipment Installation

We will install your external pool

plumbing, lighting and filtration on a prepared concrete slab, ready for when

your pool if filled with water.

8. Hardscapes and Fencing

At this time any decking, concreting

or tiling can be completed. Due to strict Council regulations and safety laws,

it is necessary to have the pool fencing in place prior to the application of

your pool interior finishes. Our certifier will inspect and approve the fencing

and send through the necessary paperwork.

9. Interior finish

The final stages of the pool

the construction process has arrived. Our pebble Crete contractors will spray and

trowel pebble Crete (mixture of cement and 1-2 mm pebbles) to the floor and

walls of your swimming pool to achieve the final design style. Once completed a

a light acid wash is carried out to expose the pebbles and then it’s time to fill!

10. Handover

Once the pool is full, we will do a

complete handover, explaining in detail the correct procedure to care and

maintain your pool water and equipment. You can now start enjoying the many

benefits of having a swimming pool at home.
